Welcome, I'm Verena!

As an Egyptian-American, I grew up not fully identifying with either culture, which lead me to create my own. Third Culture Children like myself are raised in a culture outside of their parents'. Some have lived most of their childhood in another country outside of their nationality.

I strongly empathize with those who identify with multiple cultural aspects. I find that developing your identity while processing through all the layers of life can be challenging. It would be a privilege to assist you in exploring those layers.

I specialize in working with people who have experienced negative events, which are affecting their present lives. Something unique about my approach is I implement EMDR, attachment theory and strength-based modalities.

I believe you are your own expert in finding healing. Together we will explore those memories or events, while co-creating a new story.

I have a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, I am certified in EMDR, and I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings since 2015.
